PDCC77 with Ruby 2 Shoes

Nice and airy and earthy colors this week over at the Play Date Cafe. Great inspirational photo, loving all that white, check it out!

Decided to switch it up this week and make something other than a card. I figured it was probably time to start working on my items I'll be selling in the summer through our Artisans of the Heart group, August is fast approaching! One of the little items I'll be selling this year are fridge magnets with some post-it notes for those quick "to do lists" or anything else that needs to be scribbled down in a hurry :) I'm also entering this in the home decor challenge over at Moxie Fab World.

I kept the project simple and used by Ippity stamps again (loving "The Simple Things" stamp set). My base is a chipboard coaster covered in Crumb Cake cardstock. I sanded the edges and applied some ink to the edges in the same color as the cardstock. Then using the "Dots for Sure" stamp by Ippity, I stamped it in Crumb Cake along the bottom half. Using white ink the flower was stamped and then embossed with white powder. A stamped sentiment, baker's twine and a button finish off the design. Final touch was half a stack of mint colored post-it notes. Two strips of heavy duty magnet tape are on the back so it has good sticking power, nothing worse than a magnet that falls off your fridge! :)

Coaster Fridge Magnet
Cardstock: (Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up!
Stamps: (The Simple Things, Dots for Sure) Ippity by Unity
Ink: (Basic Black, Whisper White) Stampin' Up!
Fiber: (Cappuccino, Baker's Twine) Twinery
Button: (Holiday Vintage Mix) Papertrey Ink
Stickers: (Pearls) Stampin' Up!
Embossing Powder: (Winter White) Stampin' Up!
Other: magnet tape, tacky tape, post-it notes, chipboard coaster

Thanks for having a peek!
