Are you going to Summer Card Camp this year? I decided to sign up at the last minute and I'm some glad I did :) It's only been 2 days and I've already given this online camp 2 thumbs waaay up! Yesterday we were introduced to the color palette for week one and it's definitely summer colors, check it out:
There were two great cards featuring these colors from our our lovely teachers Jennifer McGuire & Kristina Werner yesterday and today we got to delve into a technique video that shows how to make a window card and how to blend with markers (haven't been brave enough to venture into these two techniques yet). I did however make a card based on the color palette and here is what I made in CAS style:
And a close up:
I went with solid cardstock colors, but dressed my rectangles up with punched circles of the same color to give it some dimension. The sentiment is a dollar stamp I found at Michaels and the baker's twine is from Stampin' Up!
Cheers to you Card
Cardstock: (Melon Mambo, Soft Sky) Stampin' Up!; (Summer Sunrise) Papertrey Ink; (purple) unknown source
Stamp: (Cheers to you) Studio G
Ink: (Melon Mambo, Basic Black) Stampin' Up!
Fiber: (white baker's twine) Stampin' Up!
Tools: (circle punch) Creative Memories; (circle punch) Stampin' Up!
Thanks for stopping by!
Julie

I love those panels and the added circles look great. I actually thought you had embossed these strips :-)Perfect touch with the twine and your sentiment (I find lots of dollar goodies at Michaels) :-)
