We just finished up week 2 of Summer Card Camp 2011 and I must say I really liked the color combo this week, check it out:
I started off making one card, whcih led to another and then another...by the time I was done I ended up with five cards using this color combo, five cards that I will be giving away as a set. To be eligible for the giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment by Tuesday, July 12th, 8pm EST and I'll randomly pick a winner and post the winner on Wednesday.

Congratulations teachermom aka Carol! You've won the card giveaway!!
Let's have a closer look at the the five cards. I'll start with the first one I made, "hello".
A super easy card which required 5 punched cardstock circles, some letter rub-ons and some yummy baker's twine. The next card I made, I decided to so some stamping and used the same layout as my CAS-ual Fridays Krafts-men challenge card.
I stamped three different images in matching ink colors to the cardstock and then mounted the panel over some strips. The sentiment is a rub-on. This card got me thinking about panels going down the card front and I incorporated an idea I used for my week 1 card for Summer Card Camp. I just switched up the circles for stars to get a "Way to Go" theme.
This card features strips of cardstock with matching punched stars over top and a sentiment from the Paper Smooches sentiment sampler. This card had me thinking of narrowing strips going in a different direction which led me to this "Happy Birthday" card.
I cut 1/2" strips and then glued them to a separate panel, cut the excess ends off and mounted it on the card base with foam mounts. The sentiment is a rub-on. For my final card, I was still thinking of strips of cardstock, but opted for some squares instead.
For this " i love you card", I used my cricut to cut a heart shape out and used the negative to overlay the red square. Final touches were a handwritten sentiment and some stitches with a black pen.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
Julie
