Hope everyone enjoyed last week's color story! This week's color story over at the Play Date Cafe is absolutely beautiful with the colors mint, ivory and coral. Check out the lovely story board Jaclyn has put together.
Our sponsor this week is Market Street Stamps! Whoo-hoo! Their stamps are ph-e-n-o-m-e-n-al and they stamp beautifully! I also design for the Market Street Stamps Design team so I was uber excited about this week :) Come check out the fab prize you can win this week too!
I seem to be in a non-card phase lately and decided to make a matchbook post it note holder. Angelica from Market Street Stamps was very kind and gave the PDCC designers some product to play with (thank you Angelica!) and I chose the stamp set "So Happy".
A close up of the flower:
I used ivory cardstock as my base and then stamped the flower in blushing bride and sage shadow. The stem color and leaves wasn't minty enough for me so I went back over these areas with embroidery floss in a mintier color. For the flower itself, I stamped it again on ivory, cut it out, stitched a button on the center and then popped it off the original flower. Here is what the inside looks like:
The other Play Date Cafe designers have some great projects to give you some inspiration, so be sure to stop over and check it out, and we would love to have you play along!
