CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #59 - Seeing Circles

Happy Friday everyone! Time for another challenge with CAS-ual Fridays this week and the challenge is all about circles, 2 circles to be exact!

We want to see your CAS projects that have just two circles on it.

For my card this week, the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of two circles was a venn diagram, so I made one on my card using twine.

I glued two pieces if twine in "as close as I could get" circle forms and then wrote "me" and "you" in the circles and topped it off with a stamped heart in the overlapped section. Super simple! My daughter just finished doing venn diagrams in math, so I thought it was pretty cool to use the idea on a card...my daughter didn't have the same opinion lol.

Summer CAS card with Market Street Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing a simple, summer color themed card over at Market Street Stamps that uses the two stamp sets Vintage Music and Riding By.

I colored each staff line with a bright color using markers and stamped it on white. For the sentiment, i just stamped in black, cut out and ribbon punch holed the two sides and then topped it off with some white organza ribbon.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #58 - Pink, pink, pink!

Back again this week for another CAS-ual Fridays challenge! Last week we played with vellum and acetate and there were loads of fabulous ideas :) Check out your challenge for this week, it's all about PINK!

This week I decided to break out a new stamp set I got with a pretty color called Melon Mambo.

I stamped the leaf image on plastic and then pressed it onto the paper for a lighter effect. The flower was stamped separately, cut out and then adhered to the card base using foam mounts. Stamped the sentiment underneath and then drew a border around the edge using the same color ink as the flower.

The Girl Fridays can't wait to the the pretty pink gallery, so come on over and play with us this week! There's lots of inspiration to get your mojo going :)

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #57 - Can you see clearly?

Welcome back to another fun-filled challenge Friday with CAS-ual Fridays! So many fabulous ideas in the gallery last week featuring spots and dots! This week's challenge is all about seeing through...

For my card this week a dug out some acetate cards that I've had for a couple of years and after wasting 4 of them as I tried to stamp my image with Staz On ink (stamps slide nice and easy on acetate if you're not careful). So 4 cards later and in some desperate need of fresh air after working with the Staz On so long, I finally got an image!

Another thing I learned was don't color Staz On images with copics ( I had forgotten this), you'll end up with a mess! I colored the images on the back side and then added the circle with stamped sentiment on the inside.

These colors look so fabulous together and I wanted them to be the main focus of my card, so I went with a simple geometric design stamped with the Hounds tooth pattern and a simple sentiment from Simple Salutations.

Market Street Stamps Block Party

The June release is here and it's time to have a par-tay! Link up your projects featuring Market Street Stamps and you could win some stamping goodies or have a chance at guest designing with the MSS design team!

I saved the Woodland set for my card and I am toad-lly diggin' the toadstools in this set. I went with clean and simple and used a masking technique to cluster my little group of woodland goodies in the corner with the sentiment and doodled a line across the bottom.

I received a sweet little chick with a butterfly net and a thinking of you sentiment. I went with a sponged spot effect along the bottom of the card by sponging ink inside small punched out circles.

Market Street Stamps June Release Day 3

It's the last day of sneak peeks before the big reveal tomorrow! Today we're showing you the stamps Imagine and Fish by Kim Geiser. I made a card using imagine and it's the perfect image for coloring, but my coloring skills are lacking a bit so I went with colored cardstock instead :)

I stamped the image 3 times on three different colors and pieced them together in one big panel. The love sentiment is from the Foodie Doodles stamp set.

Market Street Stamps June Release Day 2

Back again with another sneak peek at two more fab stamp sets from Kim Geiser!

Today we're featuring Woodland, Grow and Life is Beautiful.

The card I have today combines Grow and Life is Beautiful and it's a riot of colours!

I used clear embossing powder for the image and then drug the paper across a spectrum pad and then wiped off the excess ink from the embossed areas. Loved the effect it created!

Market Street Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1

YAY!!! It's finally here! The June release sneak peeks with Market Street Stamps has officially arrived. This month we're showcasing stamp sets illustrated by the very talented mixed media artist Kim Geiser.

I have two cards to share with you today featuring Foodies & Doodles and Love.

In keeping with my CAS style I made a simple card showcasing these sweet friends in their own squares. I was thinking Brady Bunch or Celebrity Squares when I was making this card. Aren't these guys absolutely ADORABLE?!

The next card features the stamp set Love and what great images in this set!

I stamped the images, colored them in using reds and a hint of other colors, but wanted to keep the color scheme mostly to black, white and red. Each image was cut out and then popped up off the card base using foam mounts.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #55 - Bling it up!

I can't believe it's the first day of June already, time sure does fly! Loved all the masculine cards in the gallery last week, I now have some pretty good ideas for father's day :) This week the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays is bright and blingy!

Much to my daughter's dismay, I dug out my glitter for this week's challenge. A good portion of the glitter landed on the floor in my art room and she unknowingly walked through it in her bare feet until I pointed it out to her (hehe) She's the only girl I know that has a serious aversion to all things glitter :) For my card I wanted most of the glitter to stay put, so I dug out some simple two sided tape and made a linear, glittery pattern and topped it off with a simple sentiment.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the bling in the gallery this week!
