Say it with Simple Sentiments

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing over at the Market Street Stamps blog a simple Christmas card that is perfect for those last minute holiday cards this week. With just some patterned paper, a sentiment and a simple embellishment you can make your Christmas cards in just minutes!

For this card I used the Merry Christmas sentiment from the stamp set Country Christmas and paired it with a layer of patterned paper, a holly rub-on and a small red button for the berry.
Thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas!

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #9

Well this is our last challenge in 2012 for CAS(E) this Sketch! We will be back in the new year for our first challenge on January 10th. We have another great sketch for you this week, check it out!

All my first ideas automatically went to Christmas and hanging objects, but I wanted to do something other than Christmas this time around, so I picked a holiday that will be here in a few short months...Valentine's Day!

I dug into my rub-on stash to make this card. All the images, including the sentiment are rub-ons. The design team would love to have you play along with us for the last sketch of 2012!
Thanks for stopping by this week and have a great day!

CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #8

It's hard to believe that we are on our 8th challenge already! There have been so many fabulous cards in the gallery these past few months and this week we have another great sketch for you to try over at CAS(E) this Sketch!

For my card this week, I flipped the sketch horizontally and went back to basics. I only used a stamp for sentiment and doodled the image using markers.

I started by sketching in the swirls with a green marker and then added the dots with a red marker. Then I took my spritzer tool and spritzed green around the edeges and inked green around the edges as well. A simple red layer behind and a stamped sentiment finish the card.
I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone intreprets this sketch! We would love to have you play along with us this week at CAS(E) this Sketch :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
Julie
