CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #82

Today we say goodbye to design team member Jen Wills :( Today is her last sketch with us over at CAS(E) this Sketch and I'm sure she would love to have you join in this week, check out the sketch...

I was going to go literal with a monster stamp and a heart, but then when I dug through my stash I found a cute generic boy/girl stamp that I forgot about. I still had my wooden hearts out from last week, so I inked one of them up with red and stuck it between them :)

Come on over and join in the fun this week!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

CAS(E) this Sketch and Fusion Challenge

This week the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge is pairing up with Fusion Challenge, check out the fun idea board...

For my card I took a bit from both idea boards. Following the sketch and then using white and gold for my colours. I used white on white and added wood veneer hearts that a painted with a gold rub. For a bit of continuity, I rubbed some gold over part of my sentiment.

We would love to have you play along with us this week, so stop on by and join in the fun!

Well the weather is finally getting warmer here, perhaps spring will come before summer arrives :) Check out the sketch we have for you this week to play along with over at CAS(E) this Sketch...

I'm still on that paint chip kick, so I went for hues of purple and made this colour blocked card with an itty bitty sticker sentiment.

The design team would love to have you play along this week, so stop on over and check out all the inspiration to get your mojo going.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

CAS(E) this Sketch #79

Welcome back to another great week of CAS(E) this Sketch! We are having a joint challenge with Iron Craft this week! Check out the sketch that Chrissy Larson has made for us this week...

I still had my pile of paint chips out from last week so I just dug into that stash again. I took one chip and cut it into strips and one shade from a second chip and then arranged them in ombre like fashion. I used a darker chip color to block of the rest for my sentiment and the sentiment is a rub-on I found in my letter stash.

The design team would love to have you play along this week!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great crafty day!

What's in the jewelry box?

Over the past couple of months I have been expanding on some of the bead weaving techniques I've learned and trying new stitches out. I recently had the chance to attend the Maritime Bead Festival, here in Nova Scotia and took a couple of classes. The soutache course I took was a bit too advance for me, but the peyote stitch netted Swarovski crystal course was right up my alley, I LOVE the earrings made in that course. Here is a sample of some of the earrings I made for my spring show.

The set on the left is a small beaded star pair using black seed beads and small silver pearls. The middle set is a fan earring and has a mix of seed beads and pearls and the last set is made with seed beads, Swarovski bicone crystals and crystal drops.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
